"It's not just the cars,
It's the people". Porsche Club of America

The following Zone 1 events are in addition to the hundreds of events put on by the 17 Regions within Zone 1 and those put on by the PCA National organization.  The National events such as Parade, Tech Tactics and many others, are not to be missed.  Be sure to check out for the complete list of events.

We know how much you enjoy the traditional and more recent, new events organized by Zone 1 volunteers each year. Despite our best efforts and planning for our 2020 events, the current external restrictions and our own concerns for your safety, leave us with three events cancelled. There are two that we intend to hold provided that emergency measures make it possible and safe to hold them.

2020 “48 Hours at The Glen”-  Zone 1 Driver Education

Watkins Glen, NY June 12-14

We are blessed that the storied Watkins Glen Race Track is located in Zone 1 and delighted that we’re able to take you there for the Zone 1 “48 Hours at the Glen” DE weekend. Whether you’re a novice or experienced DE driver, don’t miss this opportunity to drive in the tracks of past glorious winners of Formula 1, NASCAR, Trans-Am, IROC and IndyCar races that have been held here over the years. Watkins Glen is a well-maintained, gorgeous track with 11 corners and wonderful elevation changes. It is set in a beautiful location, a short drive from the historic town of Watkins Glen. Just like at your own region DE events, you’ll be organized into run groups, so that you’re on the track with others of similar experience and capability. Instructors ride with drivers in the less advanced run groups, providing guidance and feedback to help the drivers develop their skills during the weekend. This event also includes the National Instructor Training Program which takes place on the preceding Friday.

If you’ve been meaning to drive the Watkins Glen track, but have never quite got around to it, this is the year to do it. Just click on the link below to see more details and how to register. Come out and enjoy the track, the camaraderie and have yourself a great PCA Zone 1 weekend of fun.

2020 Zone 1 Club Race: “Clash at the Glen”

Watkins Glen, NY May 29-31

If you’re a PCA racer, Watkins Glen has got to be on your bucket list of tracks to drive. If you’ve driven it before, don’t miss this chance to come back to improve your times and win on this track where great racers such as Jack Brabham, Stirling Moss and Dan Gurney found glory.

Maybe it’s the sheer joy of racing on this superb, well-maintained track with its thrilling elevation changes, or imagining they are running with Mario Andretti, Jacky Ickx or Derek Bell, that brings out over 250 racers from all over the USA and Canada to make this Zone 1 Club Race the largest on the PCA Club Racing circuit. PCA members are welcome to attend and perhaps consider how they may make the transition from Driver Education to Club Racing. Once again, Finger Lakes Region has organized a hospitality package at the Glen Club, so if you’re not racing, come along and enjoy good company, good food and a great view of the racing in the comfort of the Glen Club, courtesy of those friendly guys at Finger Lakes Region.

2020 Zone 1 Autocross Weekend

Devens Airfield, Ayer, MA . September 11-13

UPDATE: June 22 // Devens Airfield is reopening and we're planning to go ahead with this event! Look for registration details coming soon!

A whole weekend of Autocross at Devens Airfield that provides a hard-to-beat venue with its excellent 0.8 mile course set-up in a rural location. The length of the course and the high number of runs make it perfect for beginners to develop their car control skills, while experienced Autocrossers battle to reduce their run times and win as the fastest in their class.

But it’s not just the challenge and fun of zooming around those cones, it’s the social time in between and at the Saturday night barbecue, where you’ll enjoy great company among Autocrossers from all over Zone 1. See flyer for more details.

2020 Zone 1 Gimmick Rally and Concours d’Elegance

Niagara Falls, Ontario     September 5-6

2020 Boardwalk Reunion

Ocean City, NJ      October 17

Update August 11, 2020: Ocean City has advised that all City-wide and Boardwalk events have been canceled for October, to include Boardwalk Reunion. Of course, this is disappointing, but understandable and we support the City’s desire to protect its visitors and its residents during these uncertain COVID times. If you have reserved a room at the Flanders or one of the hotels in the area, please cancel your reservation immediately.
We are already planning the 2nd Annual Boardwalk Reunion, which is now scheduled for October 16, 2021. We thank you for your continued interest in this unique event, and look forward to seeing you- healthy and in good spirits- on the Boards with your Porsche under bright blue October skies next year. Until then, keep checking our website for updates on the 2021 Boardwalk Reunion.

Zone 1 and Zone 2 are co-hosting and working with the 356 Registry to bring you
the second annual Boardwalk Reunion at Ocean City, New Jersey on Saturday, October 16, 2021. This new and exciting event will bring hundreds of Porsches to ‘America’s Greatest Family Resort’ on the South Jersey shore. Boardwalk Reunion is more than just a laidback cars and coffee on the Boards - it’s a unique opportunity to drive up onto and display your Porsche on one of New Jersey’s most iconic Boardwalks against an ocean backdrop that is simply spectacular. You’ll be able to meet and socialize with Porsche owners from across the Mid-Atlantic, and savor Ocean City at its most beautiful and peaceful time of the year. We’ll marshal at Ocean City’s Municipal Airport at 10 AM, depart an hour later under police escort, and then park and hang out on the mile-long Boardwalk until 4:00 PM. Many Boardwalk shops and eateries will be open, and the pristine beaches are just on the other side of the boardwalk railing. A social at one of the New Jersey shore’s most historic hotels- the charming Flanders Hotel, where there will be a reserved weekend room block for attendees. Registration fees will be minimal and announced at a later date- we would like everyone to enjoy this event for what it is: a low-key Porsche gathering “Down the Shore” at Ocean City at the height of Autumn. Contact Bob Gutjahr at or Ellen Beck at for further information.
